The company dot11 gmbh was founded in November 2019 by Renzo Notter, after he specialized in Wireless LAN. The name of the company is based on the IEEE Standard 802.11, which specifies the technology of Wireless LAN – and our name says it all:
Wireless LAN is often a by-product of an IT company, but it is the main focus for us. IT service providers are facing new challanges because of the fast pace this technology is growing and changing. Quite often, companies don’t have the time or the in-depth knowledge to design a scalable and efficient Wi-Fi or fix it if something does not work as intended.
And that is where dot11 gmbh comes into place: Does your IT-Department not have enough manpower to implement a pending project or does a current environment just not work as it should? Are you not sure if your environments follow current best practices and if they meet the requirements for your future developments, or did you simply lose track with all the terms such as „OFDM“, „OFDMA“, „802.11ax“, „WPA3“, „802.11w“ „Airtime Fairness“ and „Beacon Frames“?

Who am I?
I’m Renzo from Switzerland, and I’m the face behind dot11 gmbh.
Already early on in my still young career I decided to educate and specialize myself in Wi-Fi, because I was fascinated about how you can make invisible things visible, and when using the proper tools you can make intangible problems tangible.

I’m offering Professional Services in the whole lifecycle of a Wireless LAN installation: from pre-deployment requirement gathering and proof of concepts to Wi-Fi design and APoS-surveys all the way to technical commissioning, post-deployment validation-surveys, fixing of complex problems and optimizations.
